Overview
As
Hire Desk Manager , you’ll be the engine that keeps hire operations running smoothly. You’ll oversee all day-to-day hire activity, ensuring customers receive excellent service, equipment is allocated efficiently, and projects are delivered on time. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a key role in a growing clean energy business.Key Responsibilities
Manage all incoming hire enquiries and convert them into bookings.Oversee scheduling, allocation, and logistics of generators, hybrid systems and other clean energy tech.Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Work closely with engineering and operations teams to coordinate delivery and collection of equipment.Monitor utilisation, performance, and reporting of hire fleet.Develop and mentor hire desk staff as the team grows.Requirements
Experience in the hire industry (plant, tool, equipment, or power hire).Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.Customer-focused with excellent communication and relationship-building ability.Commercially aware, with an eye for maximising hire revenue.Leadership skills – able to motivate and guide a team.Knowledge of generators or hybrid systems is desirable but not essential.What We Offer
