Core Activity: Ensure effective application of processes, including supporting the design, modifications and improvements in the following areas, in accordance with relevant standards and best practice:- o LV Distribution, QPS and Electrical Safety o LV Protection Systems and Earthing Systems o LV Cabling and Cable routing o Converted Supplies o Portable Apparatus and Domestic Supplies o Aviation Support o General and Special Lighting o Hull Preservation Systems o Degaussing Key Accountabilities: Develop design specifications under guidance and carry out design activities in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards. Examples of engineering output are mechanical schematic diagrams, mechanical design calculations, and mechanical specifications. Participate fully in developing, maintaining and modifying engineering processes and procedures in mechanical engineering areas in response to technical developments and operational need. Carry out technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the design of improvements.
