Maintenance Technician

Shift Pattern: Double Days Rotation (Early/Late)
Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowance

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised. You will respond to machine breakdowns, carry out logical fault-finding, and support continuous improvement activities to maximise line performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis.
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical repairs to minimise downtime.
• Monitor production line performance and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with production teams to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Support engineering improvement projects and machine modifications.
• Investigate recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain engineering standards, procedures and documentation.

Requirements

Essential

• ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English.
• Previous experience in a maintenance or manufacturing engineering role.

Desirable

• Mechanical and/or electrical qualifications.
• Experience within FMCG or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Basic electrical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems.
