IT Sales: Sales Specialist (Energy Sector) – Engineering Software

Role:

We’re working with a leading engineering software company that is looking for an industry vertical specialist to grow its presence across the UK energy sector. This is a new business focused role, where you will be selling our client’s suite of engineering and design software solutions and services into the energy sector targeting transmission system operators (TSOs) and distribution network operators (DNOs) e.g. UK Power Networks, SSE etc. You will be responsible for identifying and winning new business opportunities and building relationships/engagement with customers by positioning some of the best products on the market against real engineering and operational challenges. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience selling software solutions into the UK energy sector, be highly consultative and a proven new business sales professional who has dealt with multiple stakeholders at an enterprise level. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a key energy sector growth strategy within a hugely successful and established engineering software business, working with some of the UK’s most important infrastructure organisations. Required:

• Proven track record of new business wins
• Sold technology solutions (software, hardware, telco)
• Strong understanding and sales experience within the energy sector
• Used to selling to multiple stakeholders at an enterprise level
• A minimum of 3+ years IT sales experience within the energy sector
