£30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experienceMy client specialises in metalwork and fabrication, and they are looking to take on a CAD Technician on a permanent basis near Burnley.The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering positionBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.Experience Designing and working with Metal materialsAny previous experience of working with bespoke metalwork, structural steel or similar would be beneficialDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be beneficialExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExcellent organisational skills and time management skillsHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary teamThe CAD Technician role will involve:Working within the current engineering team with other CAD TechniciansProducing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCADLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.For more information about this role please apply, or email Toby Illingworth on tillingworth@pg-rec.com.Seniority level
