SEN Teacher - Communication Difficulties (KS2)Location: Maidstone, KentAbout the RoleAcademics are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN provision in Maidstone, supporting pupils with communication difficulties. This role involves delivering a KS2 curriculum that is carefully adapted to meet the individual needs of learners, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.You will work with small class sizes from 5-10 in a group, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a multidisciplinary team, in a nurturing and structured environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS2 National CurriculumSupport pupils with communication needs, including speech, language, and social interaction difficultiesCreate a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environmentUse a range of strategies and interventions to support communication and learningMonitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reportsWork collaboratively with support staff, therapists, families, and external professionalsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who:Holds QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)Has experience teaching KS2, ideally within an SEN or specialist settingHas a strong understanding of communication difficulties (e.g. SLCN, ASD)Is patient, creative, and committed to inclusive educationWorks well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and ..... full job details .....
