As the Procurement Category Manager - Supply Chain and Logistics
at Burberry, you''ll be responsible for the management of key procurement processes within the Supply Chain categoryfrom Source to Contract, including spend analysis, sourcing events, supplier due diligence and contract management. You''ll also support the Senior Procurement Manager in developing and implementing the Supply Chain category strategy, delivering optimal commercial outcomes, managing risk and ensuring compliance.This Procurement Category Manager - Supply Chain and Logistics role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be based in our Horseferry House, London office for a minimum of 3 days per week.RESPONSIBILITIES
Global category management across a number of supply chain and logistics subcategoriesSupporting category planning processes, including procurement activity planning and project delivery, utilising various analytics to deliver data-driven insightsExecuting sourcing events (RFI/RFP/Auction) providing analysis, negotiation and recommendationsWorking closely with the Legal team on contract management to ensure quality contracts are in place with credible suppliersNew supplier due diligence and onboarding; management of the contract databaseProviding regular reporting on savings, projects and supplier performanceParticipate in ad hoc projects to support the wider business strategy, providing procurement process expertise and input across a variety of indirect spend areas in categoryResponding to Procurement related queries from across the relevant categoryPERSONAL PROFILE
Experience in a procurement role in a global, commercial organisation with expertise in the supply chain and logistics categoryExcellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels, with an ability to inspire trust and confidenceAbility to take ownership of the completion of tasks as well as identifying issues and potential resolutions.Great customer facing skills ensuring that business stakeholders are satisfied with the services deliveredAbility to deliver tangible results whilst working in a challenging and ever-changing environmentAbility to face and resolve multiple issues in a collaborative mannerGood Excel / analytical and presentation skillsSelf-motivated, dynamic, with a positive attitudeFlexible, prepared to get into the detail, as well as see the big picture.Burberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
