Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified Physical Education Teacher and/or Dance Coach looking for a part-time temporary role at our selective girls'' day school in the heart of the City of London. We are seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher/coach for November 2025 on a six-month fixed term part-time contract for maternity cover who has a keen interest in teaching across the curriculum to both prep (mixed) and senior (all girls) pupils and would be available in the afternoons Monday - Friday. As the department seeks to develop, there is the possibility of the successful candidate also being appointed head of a specific sport, depending on their skills and specialisms. This is a 6 month fixed term contract maternity cover.

Responsibilities

Teach Physical Education and/or Dance to students across prep (mixed) and senior (all girls) cohorts, with potential to lead a specific sport.

Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in the afternoons (Monday to Friday).

Collaborate with the PE/Dance department to develop curriculum and support school activities.

Qualifications

Qualified Physical Education Teacher and/or Dance Coach, with either substantial experience or as a newly qualified teacher.

Interest in teaching across the curriculum and flexibility to teach to different age groups; willingness to lead a sport if appointed.
