We are seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEN class, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), many of whom are non-verbal and have complex communication and learning needs.
This is a rewarding role working closely with pupils who require structured support, patience, and a personalised approach to learning and care.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils in class and small group activities
• Use alternative communication methods (e.g. visuals, PECS, Makaton, AAC)
• Assist with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
• Help create a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and wider professionals

About You:

• Understanding of SEN, particularly ASD and non-verbal communication
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Willingness to support personal care needs
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Experience desirable but not essential (training provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
