Controls Engineer

Based in Oxfordshire

8 month contract

£50ph outside IR35

Are you passionate about food production, quality, and innovative manufacturing? We’re looking for a talented Controls Engineer to design, develop, and optimise automation systems that keep our food production lines running safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards

Key Responsibilities of Controls Engineer

• Design and develop control systems for industrial processes and machinery
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and ongoing support
• Optimise performance, reliability, and safety of automated systems

Requirements of the Controls Engineer

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or related field
• Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
• Previous experience within FMCG, Automation or similar
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The benefits of this Controls Engineer contract are:

• Minimum of 40 hours per week available
• Outside IR35
• Long term contract
