The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT to teach Art and Design in a large, well-equipped Creative Arts Department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4, inspiring students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. The department is well-supported, providing a collaborative environment where you can share ideas and grow as a teacher. You will lead your own classes and be encouraged to bring your creativity into the classroom.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:

- Hold a degree in Art and Design and QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
- Have a strong understanding of the Art and Design curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Be passionate about encouraging creativity and helping students express themselves through art
- Be a team player, eager to collaborate with colleagues and share resources and best practices

- Personalised development plan: Targeted support based on your strengths and areas for growth
- Professional development opportunities: Workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance your teaching skills
- Workload management strategies: Guidance on lesson planning, marking, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance
- Collaboration with Creative Arts department colleagues: Share ideas, resources, and best practices with fellow teachers
