Job DescriptionJob Title: Field EngineerLocation: London and surrounding areasPackage: Salary up to £40,000 + package + VanShift: 4 on 4 off nightsJob Purpose:To professionally install and service third-party electronic equipment in 12V and 24V vehicles, trailers, and assets, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Equipment includes:Vehicle Tracking and Telematics (CANbus / Driver Behaviour)DashcamsDigital Video Recorders (DVRs)In-Cab TerminalsRemote Tachograph Download DevicesTrailer Tracking SystemsResponsibilities:Install and service electronic equipment to company and customer standards.Ensure full compliance with client specifications and installation documentation.Communicate effectively with customers, end users, and internal teams.Diagnose and resolve faults in vehicle electrical systems and installed hardware.Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work carried out.Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, both company and client-issued.Exhibit professional conduct, punctuality, and accountability on all assignments.Travel to client locations with flexibility for regional work.Key Requirements:Proven experience as a Field or Automotive Installations Engineer.Strong understanding of 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems.Working knowledge of vehicle CANbus systems (JBUS and VBUS).Full, clean driving license (UK or equivalent).Confident communicator with excellent customer-facing skills.Ability to read and follow technical documentation and wiring diagrams.Capable of working independently with strong time management.Committed to quality, safety, and continuous professional standards.
