A well established leading UK manufacturer of drainage products is seeking a skilled Supervisor / Plastics Setter to join their team in Yaxley, Peterborough.  This role combines hands-on machine setup and troubleshooting with leadership duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient manufacturing process. 

 

This is a weekend role working 05.45 – 18.00, Friday / Saturday / Sunday. 

 

As the Supervisor / Plastics Setter you will:

- Set up, adjust, and maintain plastics manufacturing machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Supervise the weekend production team, ensuring targets and quality standards are met. 
- Troubleshoot machine issues and oversee maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Train and support operators on machinery setup and production processes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct quality checks to maintain production excellence.

We are looking for a Supervisor / Plastics Setter with the following experience / qualifications:

- Previous experience within an injection moulding manufacturing environment as well as setting experience. 
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a factory setting. 
- Strong technical knowledge of machine set up and troubleshooting. 
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
- Proactive approach to improving processes and production efficiency
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
