Residential Childcare Workers

to join our Residential homes!Purpose of JobBased in a children''s residential home you will be working with young people with challenging behaviour, and you will need to be flexible, resilient, honest and well organised, as well as committed to providing a high standard of childcare to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes.This is a permanent role with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training programme within an expanding company. You will be working on average 38 hours per week - 2 days on and 4 days off shift pattern with 2 sleep-ins. In addition, you will be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and performance related bonus scheme.Essential skillsFull manual driving licenseBe capable of working on their own initiative to a high level of accuracy, maintain clear, neat recordsHave good inter-personal skills, and be a positive team playerThe ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements.Empathetic natureHave good oral and written communication skills in a variety of contextsThe ability to engage, motivate and encourage young peopleDesirable SkillsPrevious experience of working with young peopleWilling to work towards the fully funded qualification in level 3 Children and Young People (or already qualified)Benefits:Holiday AllowancePension Scheme (3% Employer contribution)Employee Discount SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammePolaris is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
