Field Laboratory Technician

to join its team in

Aston Clinton.

We test ground and soil samples with the very latest technology to support our construction sector clients to find cost-effective solutions for their building projects.This role will involve working out on site obtaining various soil and construction material samples and testing them in-situ. Consideration will be given to experienced field technicians and also those without experience as full training will be provided. What we do need is for you to have a clean UK driving license and a desire to work outdoors in all weathers. This is a

full-time

job with excellent rates of pay and overtime (both in the week and over the weekend), and the opportunity to work in an exciting and growing sector along with excellent career opportunities.If you want to join an innovative, fast paced and dedicated team who are making a difference, we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:On-site sampling and testing of various construction materials e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete and asphaltCompletion of test sheets and data entry onto tabletsLiaising with senior members of staff on work schedules and testing proceduresWorking within in-house quality assurance systemsMaintain high levels of health and safety in line with company policiesYour Qualifications:GCSE Maths and English or equivalentAbout You:EssentialClean UK driving licenceGood communication skills - both written and verbalManual handling and physical activity are daily requirements – samples can weigh in excess of 20kgConfident to work in a team environmentSelf-motivated, proactive and able to organise your own workloadPrevious experience in a UKAS accredited testing environment in a similar roleKnowledge of testing standards and processesCSCS cardSalary and Benefits:Basic salary is c£26,000 but will depend on the level of experience.
