Building Surveyor
Job Title: Building SurveyorType: PermanentLocation: BristolSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week BRC are working closely with a well-established Housing Association based in Bristol to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to join their property services team. This role involves managing a varied portfolio of housing stock, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and well maintained, while delivering high-quality surveying and contract management services. Duties: Carry out building surveys, inspections, and condition reports across residential propertiesManage day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and minor works projectsPrepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentationOversee contractors on site, monitoring performance, quality, and complianceEnsure all works meet current legislation, health and safety, and housing standardsDiagnose building defects and recommend appropriate remedial actionsManage budgets and ensure value for money is achievedLiaise with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders Requirements: Proven experience working as a Building Surveyor, ideally within social housing or local authorityRelevant qualification in Building Surveying or Construction (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety, and housing legislationExperience managing contractors and building works on siteFull UK driving licence and access to a ..... full job details .....
