Electrical Design Engineer is needed for a large facilities management organisation based in Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well–rounded Electrical Design Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in–depth knowledge of low–voltage electrical systems design (general), of BS:7671 and IET technical guidance notes and prepare electrical design solutions for retrofit decarbonisation projects, new–build energy centers and heat networks.The successful candidate must have experience in AutoCAD and REVIT and have knowledge of lighting, small power / switchgear, data, fire alarm, security and access control systems.Benefits

An advanced level of understanding of low–voltage electrical systems design (general)Good knowledge of British Standards, design guides and the Building RegulationsGood knowledge of BS:7671 and IET technical guidance notesAware of health and safety and CDM regulationsCan produce schematic layouts and single line diagrams for electrical systems from concept to detailed design (with assistance from senior engineers)Knowledge of lighting, small power / switchgear, data, fire alarm, security and access control systems in context to the roleAware of stakeholder involvement within the project life cycleAware of environmental, cultural and health and safety issues associated with the design of systemsAble to prepare draft specifications, stage reports, tender documentationCompetent in standard industry design software, including AutoCAD and REVITCompetent in standard Microsoft Office products i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.Understanding of environmental factors affecting electrical designExcellent communication skills – written, oral etcThis role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.This really is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to progress their career.
