Learning Support Assistant - Primary SEN School Opportunity to opportunity to genuinely make a difference to young children who need support in many ways. The role would involve supporting children with severe and multiple learning difficulties, including medical needs, autism, and other disabilities. You would be helping children from 3 to 11 years old by supporting the teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of the children using adapted learning materials and methods to support children with needs. You will be encouraging, reassuring, and comforting children while helping them to be independent and confident. You will receive training, mentoring and guidance from a team of experienced, passionate and supportive individuals, and learn to clinically assess the children and supporting required medical intervention and personal care where needed. The school is very well equipped with a large hall with fitted PE apparatus, soft play and sensory rooms, a swing room, and high-quality indoor swimming and hydrotherapy pools. You will greet the children in the mornings and assist with pupil handover at the end of the day, and also help both during breaks and activities both indoors and outdoors.
