We are now seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Bicester office. You will have the ability to run multiple concurrent medium sized projects, undertake a client facing role in the development, design and co-ordination of engineering projects, which could include producing design packages for contractors working on a design and build contract. Responsible for running of medium size projects. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.

Role Responsibilities

Responsible for running of medium size projects. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposesSurveys tests and reports on existing electrical installationsSpecifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirementsDay to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to clientRepresents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teamsCarries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standardsResponsible for technical content and accuracy of Trainee, Graduates and EngineersValidation and checking of designs and specifications

Role Requirements

You will need to possess the following professional and technical expertise:

BEng, MSc, and have sufficient experienceMCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND + appropriate experience or equivalentWorking towards Chartered Eng statusCompetent in specification design/drawing for several building typesSound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislationKnowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etcAbility to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet softwareGood understanding of BS standardsAbility to prioritise own workloadAbility to work to deadlinesManagerial SkillsBackground in consulting or construction preferred.Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group
