A well-established and highly regarded MEP consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in Bexleyheath, London.

The Role

As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of electrical building services projects from initial design through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing electrical building services systems across a range of sectors and project types.
• Taking responsibility for the delivery of electrical engineering elements of projects.
• Producing and reviewing electrical designs, calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.
• Providing technical input and resolving electrical engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating electrical services with mechanical, public health, architectural and other design disciplines.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Attending and contributing to client and project meetings.
• Supporting projects to ensure they are delivered to programme, budget and the required technical standards.
• Undertaking site visits, surveys and inspections where required.
• Providing technical guidance and support to less experienced members of the team.
• Building strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary MEP team.

About You

We''re looking for an engineer with a solid grounding in electrical building services design who is ready to take on increased responsibility and continue developing their career.

You will ideally have:

• Experience working within a building services, MEP or engineering consultancy for 3-4 years.
• Proven experience in electrical building services design.
• A good understanding of relevant British Standards, regulations and industry best practice.
• Experience producing electrical calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a project team.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients and other stakeholders.
• A proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
• A genuine interest in developing your technical and professional skills.
