The Dev Ops Team is about ensuring all the Opayo Web Applications are delivered through Development, Test and Production environments in an automated Continuous Delivery manner. Opayo is a high transactional environment and applications are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team ensures that the Opayo core applications are maintained, monitored and issues are responded to and resolved in line with departmental SLAs.Key accountabilities and decision ownership :Maintaining and supporting Opayo Payments Applications, using monitoring tools to detect failures and investigating/resolving issues and writing custom monitoring scriptsWorking with the development teams to help design new products and architecting new solutionsMonitor Live environment to detect failures and investigate/resolve issuesWork closely with the Development and Test Teams to deploy software releasesSupport production systems as required inside and outside of standard working hoursReducing the overhead of BAU and manual tasks and replacing them with automated solutionsActively contributing to the process of continual improvement, with regard to self, team and the systems you supportActively participating in departmental projects as per the technology roadmapWorking with 3rd parties and partners to ensure product compliance and stabilitySkills, know-how and experience:Must have:Extensive experience of AWSExtensive experience of scripting languagesExtensive experience of monitoring tools (SumoLogic, New Relic)Extensive experience of automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)Extensive experience of working in a DevOps support modelExperience of working in a highly available, high transaction, production environmentDemonstrable experience communicating in a fast-paced, results-oriented, team-based environmentPreferred:
