Behaviour Mentor / Pastoral Support Officer Secondary SchoolLocation: Welling, Bexley, South East LondonStart Date: After October Half-Term 2026Contract: Full-Time Monday FridayHours: School HoursSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout the RolePhilosophy Education is recruiting an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Mentor / Pastoral Support Officer to join a secondary school in Welling, Bexley, starting after the October half-term.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, managing challenging behaviour and making a positive difference to students'' educational experiences.The school is looking for a confident, proactive and resilient individual who can build positive relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries and high expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide pastoral and behavioural support to students across KS3 and KS4.Work closely with the school''s behaviour and pastoral teams to manage challenging behaviour.Deliver 1:1 and small-group mentoring sessions to students requiring additional support.Support students with emotional regulation, social development and engagement in learning.Respond to behavioural incidents and help de-escalate challenging situations.Support students with attendance, punctuality and reintegration into lessons.Liaise with teachers, Heads of Year, parents and external professionals where appropriate.Maintain accurate records of behaviour incidents, interventions and ..... full job details .....
