My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a water treatment scheme in Preston, with an immediate start available. The project involves tunnelling and shaft construction, so previous experience managing underground works is essential.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

• Toolbox talks
• Client liaison
• Stakeholder liaison
• Health and safety compliance
• Ordering materials
• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams
• Managing the delivery of tunnelling and shaft construction works
• Overseeing deep excavations and associated civil engineering works
• Ensuring works are delivered on programme and to specification
• Managing RAMS, permits, temporary works, and site documentation
• Overseeing quality control, inspections, and as-built records
• Supporting the Project Manager with programme delivery and client reporting

Site Manager Requirements:

• Black or Gold CSCS
• SMSTS
• Previous experience managing tunnelling and shaft construction projects is essential
• Previous experience working on water treatment or water infrastructure schemes
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience managing specialist subcontractors and underground works
• Knowledge of temporary works and deep excavations
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
