SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of a lively primary school in Barking & Dagenham. They are seeking skilled, calm and compassionate teaching assistants to join their team.

As a teaching assistant, you will work across key stage 1 and key stage 2, supporting key pupils with additional needs. The role will be full-time (term- time only) from September 2026 to July 2027.

As a teaching assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to key students with Autism, ensuring they can access the learning material.
• Enforce learning routines.
• Promote independence, ensuring students learn to take responsibility for their learning journey.
• Support sensory needs through various channels.
• Support emotional regulation and the development of healthy interpersonal relationships.
• Work in collaboration with class teachers and the SEN team.

About you:

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant, ideally within a primary setting.
• A solid understanding of Autism and sensory needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Be confident, proactive and able to use initiative .
• Have a strong ability to connect with children, colleagues and parents, and build strong relationships.
