gap construction are proud to be representing this market leading, family owned main contractor in their search for a Project manager. Our client have moved from strength to strength in recent years, doubling their turnover from -15 to -30 million in the last 3 years. They are provide specialist refurbishment services to the public sector, mainly in the Health, Education, Blue light & Leisure sectors.

Performance Objectives

• Management of our refurbishment projects. Primarily based at head office, they visit sites as and when required to manage the smooth running of the projects.
• Typically, Project Surveyors are responsible for up to 5 projects at any time, depending on project value.
• Project mobilisation, financial management, contract management and overseeing health & safety aspects form the core of the Project Manager role.
• Develop programmes of work
• Review and utilize JCT contracts.

Person Specification

• A proven track record overseeing public sector JCT contracts is essential.
• Ability to think strategically, technically & commercially and to problem solve.
• Chair prestart and progress meetings / reports
• Oversee site manager, ensure duties are being met.
• Oversee and ensure site presentation in line with guidelines.
• Production of Health & Safety files, RAMS & other.
• Review and sign off for supplier RAMS & insurances
• Ensure site welfare meets current HSE guidelines
• Ensure site PPE meets current HSE guidelines
• Maintain site set up in line with company and HSE standards
