Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing building services team across one of four key UK offices. You’ll play a key role in shaping complex and exciting projects across a wide range of sectors – from life sciences and education to healthcare, defence, and residential.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering electrical building services designs across all RIBA stages
• Leading medium-scale projects independently or contributing to large, complex projects as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Supporting and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers
• Overseeing calculations, reports, specifications, design drawings and site surveys
• Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and design teams, nurturing strong and lasting relationships
• Supporting bids and resource planning
• Contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team environment

What we’re looking for:

• A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Building Services or Electrical Engineering
• Chartered (or working towards Chartership)
• Experience in managing the electrical design of building services projects
• Strong understanding of technical standards, current legislation, and sustainable engineering best practice
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally Autodesk Revit MEP; experience with Dialux, Relux, Amtech, NBS is highly desirable
• Ability to take ownership of design delivery, make sound engineering decisions, and work proactively
• A clear communicator with the ability to engage with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants

Desirable:

• Security clearance to MOD SC level (or eligible to obtain)
• Fee estimating and bid writing experience
• Strong project planning and reporting skills
