Role: Multi Trader

Location: Croydon, Sydenham and surrounding areas

Salary: Up to -40,660 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card

We are currently seeking an experienced Multi Trader to join a well-established maintenance team, carrying out reactive and planned repairs within occupied social housing properties across Croydon, Sydenham and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Multi Trader who is confident working across a range of general maintenance trades and enjoys a varied workload. You will be responsible for completing high-quality repairs and maintenance works, helping to ensure residents'' homes are safe, well-maintained and kept to a high standard.

The role is field-based, covering Croydon, Sydenham and nearby areas, so you''ll need to be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.

As a Multi Trader, you''ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of reactive repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties.

Typical duties will include:

• Carrying out general multi-trade repairs and maintenance
• Completing carpentry and joinery repairs
• Carrying out basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Repairing doors, frames, skirting boards and other fixtures
• Completing patch plastering and making-good works
• Carrying out painting and decorating where required
• Repairing walls, ceilings and other internal finishes
• Replacing damaged fixtures, fittings and ironmongery
• Carrying out minor tiling and flooring repairs
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
• Completing a range of responsive repairs within residents'' homes
• Carrying out minor additional trade tasks where required
• Maintaining excellent customer service when working in residents'' properties
• Using a PDA or job management system to receive and update works completed

We''re looking for a reliable and experienced Multi Trader who is confident working across different trades and takes pride in the quality of their work.

You will have:

• Previous experience working as a Multi Trader within social housing, maintenance or repairs environments
• Strong general maintenance and repair skills
• Experience carrying out reactive repairs within occupied properties
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residents
• Good time management and the ability to prioritise workloads
• A flexible approach and willingness to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Proven experience working as a Multi Trader or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative
• Ability to travel across Croydon, Sydenham and surrounding areas
• Experience working within domestic or social housing properties
• Comfortable using handheld devices or PDAs
• Eligible to work in the UK (proof required)
• DBS check, or willingness to undertake one if required
