Teaching Assistant - SEN
Upminster School requires a SEN Teaching Assistant to support two KS1 students on a 1-1 basis with ASD and SEMH needs.For the role as a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to work with one student in the morning and the other student in the afternoon, both within the classroom and during learning activities outside the classroom.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting engagement, emotional regulation and positive behaviour, enabling both students to access learning and make progress.To start as soon as possible - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (Term time only)SEN Teaching Assistant responsibilities:Providing 1:1 tailored support for the students with ASD/SEMH needs.Supporting the learning within the classroom and during interventions or activities outside the classroomHelping the students to regulate emotions, manage behaviour and engage positively with their learning and developmentSupporting social communication, independence and confidenceWorking closely with class the teacher and SENCoHas experience working with children that have ASD and SEMH.To have an understanding of the importance of structure, routine and clear boundaries.Comfortable to assist with personal care if needed.Teaching Assistant L2/L3, Care or SEND qualificationIf you are interested in our SEN Teaching Assistant role, please call us for a discussion or apply with your CV and a covering letter.This post is subject to a face-to-face interview, vetting checks including ..... full job details .....
