Job Title: Senior Project ManagerRef: Bristol 5275347Pay rate: £435.46 per day PAYERole length: Anticipated 5 - 6 monthsWorking arrangements: Hybrid role with occasional on-site attendance requiredThe role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, to work on the Adult Social Care (ASC) Transformation Programme, who has significant experience in leading change within Adult Social Care services and who is able to confidently determine the resources, processes, costs and planned activities needed to deliver the required outcomes. This is a key position within the programme, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents, helping shape a modern, efficient, and person-centred adult social care system.Key responsibilities
Bring together and lead the resources needed to evaluate each of the available optionsDevelop business cases for the proposals that emerge from the evaluations and progress these through the council’s decision-making processesEstablish and maintain appropriate governance for the project, including progress reporting to the project boardUpdating and maintaining key project controls (e.g. plan, RAID log, budget management) using our project management softwareReporting progress to Transformation Programme Director of Adult Social CareDeliver and lead change workshops/consultations to large audiencesInternal communications, public consultations and other project/programme related reportingWhat the client is looking for
Recognised project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2/MSP/Agile) and other programme and project management principles, methods, techniques and toolsEducated to degree levelAble to deliver change within the Adult Social Care system, with an understanding of current ASC related legislationStrong communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively to varied stakeholders, including Executive Directors and politiciansAbility to deliver and lead change workshops/consultations to large audiencesSignificant experience of options appraisal and business case developmentFamiliarity with public sector procurement, including preparing tender and contract documents, and securing and delivering Social Value outcomesAbility to control budgets relating to allocated projects and achieve financial targets set out including forecasting, monitoring, authorising, reviewing and controlling expenditure.Knowledge of commercial risk analysis, and value management activities and reportingExperience in managing and securing relevant statutory, regulatory third-party and other approvalsHow to Apply
