RG Consultancy are working with an excellent large turnover business located near Huddersfield who are looking for an experienced management accountant to join the company on a full time, permanent basis. We are looking for a highly capable, numbers-driven Management Accountant who can take ownership of the full accounting cycle from start to finish. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working independently, managing deadlines and producing accurate, meaningful financial information for the business. This would suit someone qualified or qualified by experience with 5-8 years + within finance. Duties include: Own the month-end process from start to finish, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis. Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and reporting packs. Manage the preparation of year-end and statutory financial accounts. Produce detailed project and job-level financial reporting, monitoring actual costs against budgets and forecasts. Review project profitability, margins, revenue and costs, highlighting potential issues and variances. Work closely with project and commercial teams to ensure costs and revenues are accurately captured in the correct period. Monitor work in progress (WIP), accrued income, deferred income and project-related accruals.
