Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across specialist schools and SEN provisions in Gloucester.The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop their confidence and build positive relationships within the school environment. You may work with pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs, communication difficulties, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.The Role:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupilsSupporting pupils to access the curriculum and engage in learningProviding emotional, behavioural and pastoral supportHelping pupils develop their communication, social and independence skillsSupporting children with a range of complex and additional needsWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staffHelping to create a calm, safe and supportive learning environmentEncouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop confidenceThe Ideal Candidate:Previous experience working with children or young people is desirableExperience within SEN, education, care or support work is highly beneficialPatient, resilient and empathetic approachConfident supporting pupils ..... full job details .....
