Overview We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Setter/Operator to join our clients manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining punch presses to produce high-quality sheet metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical processes to contribute to a dynamic production environment. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. Duties Set up and adjust punch presses according to specifications and production requirements Operate punch presses safely and efficiently to produce precise sheet metal parts Monitor machine operation during production runs, making adjustments as necessary Perform routine maintenance, including grinding and minor repairs on equipment Inspect finished components for quality, ensuring they meet specified standards Utilise hand tools and tooling to facilitate accurate setup and adjustments Assist with assembly processes when required Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations Document production data accurately for process tracking and quality assurance Experience Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or similar manufacturing roles is preferred Knowledge of welding, grinding, and mechanical systems is advantageous Familiarity with hand tools, tooling, and basic math skills ..... full job details .....
