We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 and 2 drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Duties Operate a flatbed lorry to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Skills Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV licence. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving a flatbed lorry. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS technology. Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading cargo safely. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
