Location: Leicester, LE2
Shift: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday: 7:00am - 12:00 noon
Pay Rate: -14.00 - -16.00 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable MIG Welder. The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with the required specifications.
The role will suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has good attention to detail and is able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG weld mild steel components and assemblies to the required specification.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding instructions.
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Select appropriate welding settings, wire and gas for the materials being welded.
- Prepare materials prior to welding, including cutting, cleaning, grinding and positioning where required.
- Ensure welds meet the required quality and dimensional standards.
- Inspect completed work and identify any defects or areas requiring rework.
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and other departments to meet production requirements.
About You
Essential:
- Previous experience working as a MIG Welder.
- Experience welding mild steel.
- Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a busy production environment.
