Main purpose and scope of job Electrical engineer works with the plant maintenance team covering four sites. Responsible for planned preventative and reactive maintenance. always Adhering to strict health and safety procedures. Required to generate daily reports, weekly and monthly and document all work carried out in the maintenance system used. Provide guidance to maintenance semi-skilled members of the team. Position within organisation Reports to Maintenance Manager Responsible for Electrical maintenance planned and preventative Budget Responsibilities Recording of parts used in general day to day completion of work. Duties and key responsibilities Health and safety Responsible for his/her personal safety, including others who may be affected by the maintenance department activities. In particular: Understand and implement the company Health and Safety Policy. Be aware of their responsibility to comply with all company procedures. Assist with Risk Assessments if required on activities within their electrical remit ensuring that the methods and systems of work are safe. Assist with written instructions of work methods outlining potential hazards and precautions, and ensure they are complied with. Ensure accident/incident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with and fully co-operate with accident investigations where appropriate.
