CK Group are recruiting for a Capillary Electrophoresis QC Scientist, on behalf of a medical diagnostic company. This role will be based at their site in Gateshead and is a permanent role with Mon-Fri day time working hours. The Role To test the quality control and assay of product lines. Ensuring product is assayed and quality control tested in a timely manner as directed by the appropriate assay and quality control procedures and with reference to the QC Manager. Responsibilities:To perform scientific and associated tasks while following appropriate protocols to assay and quality control products from the V8 and UltraCE product range.To organise the assigned work on a day-to-day basis, being aware of the urgency of products and the time taken for tasks to be undertaken to achieve target turnaround times.To review and maintain V8 and UltraCE specific Assay and QC specifications to ensure they are up to date and fit for purpose.To ensure all EQA scheme data is carried out within the required time frames and the resultant reports are reviewed and stored appropriately.To develop and maintain specialist knowledge of the equipment used within the department with respect to regular maintenance and first-line trouble shooting.To develop, maintain and apply theoretical electrophoresis knowledge to support routine assay, QC, external quality assurance participation and research and development opportunities.To identify shortcomings or detrimental trends to product performance and ..... full job details .....
