The company operates as a principal contractor and undertakes a variety of commercial refurbishment projects for a wide range of clients including, Schools, Hospitals, Local Authority, MoD, Hotels and Retail with projects ranging from £100K to £2M. The company is established and have been operating for over 15 years and is looking to add to its Southampton estimating team. This is a great opportunity for anybody looking to make their mark within a successful contractor and the business will consider applications from Estimators or Senior Estimators who have refurbishment or fit-out experience. Responsibilities of the Estimator: Price projects from bill of quantities, specifications and drawings. Carry out detailed take offs from drawings. Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to provide the most competitive cost on a project. Attend internal meetings with the Managing Director and Estimating Manager to discuss tenders. Identify labour, material, and time requirements. Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. Prepare special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends. Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data. ..... full job details .....
