• Location: Mainstream College (based in SEN department - post-16)
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm (potential for earlier finish)
• Pay: -16.22 per hour (PAYE)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join the Supported Learning Team at a mainstream college. You will support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and develop greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with SEND in classrooms, workshops, and one-to-one sessions

• Assist with academic tasks, including reading, scribing, and using IT

• Promote student independence while ensuring a safe learning environment

• Provide personal care, including toileting, hygiene, and medication (training provided)

• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

• Escort students during off-site activities and assist with transport if required

• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records

• Support with exams, breaks, and behaviour when needed

What We''re Looking For:

• Good English, Maths & IT skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or above)

• Experience supporting students with additional needs (in education or care)

• Comfortable providing personal care and willing to undertake training

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable, flexible, and committed to inclusive education
