The role of a School Crossing Patrol Officer has a competitive pay rate of 14.25 per hour, increasing in line with London Borough of Harrow Pay Scale increments. Other benefits include, accruing up to 28 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to apply for any internal permanent roles within London Borough of Harrow.The Main Purpose:Help children and adults cross the road safely at designated points, using a school crossing patrol sign (lollipop) to signal drivers to stopUse and report any faults in the hazard lights at or near crossingsReport any vehicles that disobey the patrol to the supervisor or police and complete paperwork on any accidents or incidentsMaintain control over children waiting to cross the road, ensuring they follow instructionsFollow all relevant health and safety procedures and use provided uniform and equipment for safetyAttend in-service training days and occupational health assessments as requiredThis role requires good communication skills, patience, and the ..... full job details .....
