Operations Manager
This is a newly created Operations Manager role, and it exists for a simple reason The business has grown, and the operation needs to catch up. Turnover has moved from £4m to £7m. A large new client has come on board. From a commercial and account management point of view, things are in a good place. Operationally, there is more work to do. As Operations Manager, you are being brought in to look at how the operation really runs day to day and make it stronger, we are talking about the maintenance of contracts, stock flow, follow through and delivery all need more structure and consistency. This is not about blame, its is about maturity, but you are not here to be popular you are here to make the changes that are needed. You will spend time at the start understanding the team, the processes, and where things are falling down. Some areas will already be working well, others will need attention, both are part of the role. As Operations Manager, your focus will be on putting the right foundations in place. Clear expectations, better processes, accountability that supports the business as it continues to grow. You will work closely with the Commercial lead in the UK, with a dotted line into the wider group team in Europe. There is support for change and a genuine desire to get operations into a better place.
