There is a vacancy for a full time HCPC registered, Band 8a Quality Manager in the Blood Sciences Department, working across all 3 sites. The successful candidate will be motivated, passionate and able to provide expert advice in all areas of quality within Blood Sciences with a primary focus on Blood Transfusion. Experience of MHRA inspections and the ability to critically assess compliance of current systems is essential.You will work closely with the Blood Sciences quality officer, the pathology quality team, departmental leads and the Blood Sciences management team to provide an integrated and robust quality system. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and continual development of the Blood Transfusion Quality Management System, in collaboration with the Blood Sciences Manager and Transfusion Team, and to ensure ongoing compliance with all required national and international standards (UKAS ISO15189 and BSQR).The post holder will also work with the Pathology Quality Manager and Lead Biomedical Scientists to support the effective functioning and development of the Pathology Quality Management System to ensure compliance with all relevant national and international standards across Biochemistry and Haematology (UKAS ISO15189). The Quality Manager will support the development of the department and improve its efficiency and the quality of the service provided.The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a world-leading cancer centre.
