Health and Safety Advisor Southampton 50,000 + BenefitsIrwin and Colton have been engaged by a well-known construction contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. The company operate across a number of major residential, mixed-use and commercial developments. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Health and Safety to drive a positive Health and Safety culture across several construction sites.Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include: Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and developing contractorsAssist with training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where requiredAssisting with audits and inspections of the site, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findings The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:Experience in a similar role ideally from within the construction industry (high-rise experience would be beneficial)NEBOSH Certificate or equivalentGood communications skills and ability to work well with a wide range of peopleDrive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture This is a great opportunity grow and develop your career as the business grows.
