Purchasing Assistant Opportunity! Location - North Lincolnshire We are currently representing a Purchasing Assistant role on behalf of our client who are a UK manufacturing business who are leading their industry and are looking to grow their supply chain team as part of continued business growth. Key Responsibilities Support the Procurement and Contracts teams with sourcing activities, raising orders, managing inventory, and maintaining effective supplier relationships. Work closely with suppliers to forecast requirements and ensure inventory is planned and delivered in a timely manner. Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and service levels. Create and process purchase orders accurately, ensuring all information is correctly recorded and internal systems are kept up to date. Liaise with suppliers and the warehouse team to confirm delivery schedules, resolve issues, and maintain smooth supply flow. Contribute to the preparation of procurement reports, maintain order books, and monitor stock levels. Track shipments and follow up to ensure goods are delivered on time. Support the preparation of cost analyses and other procurement-related reporting. Candidate Expectations Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is beneficial but not essential.
