Job Description:

Caddy Group are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas/Combustion Engineer for work around Central/Greater London.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation: Install commercial gas appliances and unvented hot water systems in various commercial settings.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on gas appliances and unvented systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with gas systems, including leaks, blockages, and mechanical failures.
• Compliance: Ensure all work complies with gas safety regulations, industry standards, and relevant codes of practice.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including gas safety certificates and maintenance records.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency call-outs and provide timely solutions to urgent issues.
• Working Hours: To work overtime as and when the business requires, this may include nights and weekends to which notice may not always be given.
• Callout Rota: Participation on an on-call rota for emergency call out purposes out of normal working hours.
• Expected Duties: Perform adhoc duties as and when required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a gas engineering
• Experience: Proven experience as a commercial gas engineer; familiarity with unvented hot water systems.
• Certifications: Gas Safe registration; relevant ACS qualifications (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, and unvented hot water certification).
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of gas safety regulations, ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills.
