Owning Packaging and Purchasing

As a Packaging and Purchasing Coordinator, you''ll play a key role in managing the packaging, trays, PPE and consumables that keep production running smoothly. From setting budgets and monitoring stock levels to negotiating with suppliers and tracking usage, you''ll be central to ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Your Responsibilities

• Set and control packaging and trays budgets
• Manage optimum stock levels for packaging and consumables
• Negotiate with suppliers on price and terms to secure the best deals
• Monitor packaging use on production lines and reconcile with stock
• Track KPIs including packaging waste and consumption trends
• Report on supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the supply chain and procurement team with admin tasks, including holiday cover
• Engage with packaging innovations and new product development to reduce costs and waste

What Makes You a Great Fit?

• 2+ years'' experience in planning and packaging procurement
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build supplier relationships
• Knowledge of packaging materials (plastic, cardboard) and latest innovations
• High level of computer literacy including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Dynamics Nav and Power BI
• Strong numeracy, communication and organisational skills
• Experience working within supply chain or production environments
