As a globally recognised automotive manufacturer, our client is looking for an experienced Stock Controller to facilitate the smooth delivery of early-phase prototype builds in vehicle production. In this role, you will be responsible for processing parts into the build hall and ensuring the timely delivery of all received items. This contract-based position is located at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Surrey.Key Responsibilities: Own the stock control process of part delivery to vehicle build. Ensure robust and accurate inventory management of all prototype vehicle parts. Create/pick vehicle kits in alignment with Build Engineering to support the daily requirements of the vehicle builds. Work closely with the wider logistics organisation, promoting a collaborative approach and ultimately supporting the team goals. Coordinate all carry-over stock demands from initial request to lineside delivery. Efficient tracking and follow-up on active internal requisitions to ensure timely budget approval and part delivery. Ensure all relevant tracking documentation is kept up to date.Experience and Qualifications: Training in 5S methodology. Strong understanding of manufacturing and warehousing environments. Proficiency in IT, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work under pressure and meet specific deadlines. Experience in material planning and control is preferred.
