The hard work of getting policy or legislative change enacted in the areas we work on is often dry and technical: to convince an official in the government that one policy solution is better than another requires a lot of nuanced debate, evidence production, and thinking about implementation. We aren t expecting you to do that, but Success in policy is not just about the details of the policy. It s about whether society wants that policy to be enacted. And that is where you come in. One of the ways policy communication falls down is because it isn t political enough. It often only speaks to elite audiences (because it s only been designed for them.) That goes wrong when that policy meets the real world. We re looking for someone who wants to make sure that the policy recommendations our clients want to enact are communicated in a form that people will buy.
