Research Technician

About the RoleApplications are sought for a Research Technician to provide technical support to the following project, Targeting Immune Cells to Improve Response to Chemotherapy in High-grade Serous Ovarian Cancer. The research will be based in the Centre for Tumour Microenvironment, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.About YouThe postholder must have a BSc and MSc (or equivalent) in a biological or related science. Essential requirements for this post include experience of working in a biomedical research laboratory, as well as experience of mammalian tissue culture and mouse handling and basic monitoring. Knowledge of basic mouse techniques such as handling and weighing, cell culture and cytokine array analysis would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.About the School/Department/Institute/ProjectThe Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations.
