Learning Mentor - Burnley Primary School
Start Date: September 2026
Full-time | Term-time only

Are you someone who naturally builds strong relationships with children and knows how to bring out the very best in them? We''re working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Burnley who are looking for a dedicated Learning Mentor to join their team from September 2026.

This is such a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom. The role will involve working closely with children who may need that little bit of extra guidance - whether that''s academically, socially or emotionally - helping them to feel confident, settled and ready to learn.

You''ll be someone who genuinely cares, who takes the time to understand each child as an individual, and who isn''t afraid to go the extra mile to make a real difference. The school has a strong, nurturing ethos and a team who truly support one another, so you''ll feel part of something from day one.

What you''ll be doing:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to help them stay engaged and make progress, building positive relationships that encourage confidence and independence, working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored support strategies, acting as a positive role model and providing guidance around behaviour, wellbeing and social skills, contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

What we''re looking for:
Experience working with children in a school or similar setting, a calm, patient and approachable nature, strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly, a genuine passion for supporting children''s development and wellbeing, a proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to get stuck in.

In return, you''ll be joining a lovely school community where your contribution will truly be valued and where no two days are ever the same. If you''re looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference and leave work feeling like you''ve helped shape a child''s future, this could be just the one for you.

If this sounds like something you''d love to be part of, I''d be really keen to have a chat.
