Contract:
Fixed-term, full time (36.25 hours per week) until 31 July 2029. Part-time arrangements (minimum 29 hours per week) may be considered.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Black Success Manager, you will play a critical role in empowering and supporting Black students across the university. You will oversee a portfolio of activities designed to enhance the university experience for Black students, bringing together initiatives such as self development courses, alumni mentoring (Black Industry Connections and Empowerment Programme, BICEP), and student groups and networks (for example Black Sport Collective, BSC) under a unified programme.
You will be excited about working with and understanding Black students, embracing a diverse community. You will promote inclusive networks, influence positive change, and work with partners across the institution and beyond. You will have experience drafting reports, hosting events, attracting Black students, effective promotion and marketing, and undertaking evaluation. You will also be confident in IT skills.
You will be compassionate and able to handle issues sensitively and confidentially. You are committed to lifelong learning and will have Level 3 educational qualifications (such as Access to HE, BTEC, or A-levels) or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience.
Your focus will be on the black-white awarding gap, working with our Black student community. You will collaborate with our diverse team of managers and with partners across the university, for example University of Nottingham Sport and Campaign and Alumni Relations Office.
You will work on various projects and change initiatives, using appropriate tools to manage workload effectively and plan delivery. You will help deliver our Access and Participation Plan APP ambitions, including monitoring progress, implementing actions, developing future work, and fostering a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable culture.

Qualifications
Level 3 educational qualifications (such as Access to HE, BTEC, or A-levels) or equivalent qualifications or relevant experience.
Experience drafting reports, hosting events, promotion and marketing, and undertaking evaluation.
Confident IT skills.
Ability to work with diverse communities and handle confidential information with sensitivity.
